Another good one...Presidential Candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain were flying to a debate. Barack looked at Hillary, chuckled and said, "You know I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy." Hillary shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy." John added, "That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy."
Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his copilot, "Such big-shots back there. I could throw all three of them out of the window and make 156 million people very happy."

Great E-mail....hehA Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. 'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.' 'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.' A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?" Instead of giving the answer, the teacher spit the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether 'computer' should be a masculine or feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.
The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine ('el computadora'), because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.
Th women won!

Best Fundraiser Ever....Although I regret not being involved, my school just finished one of the best fundraisers I have EVER heard of. It was called Jail'NBail. They built a jail out of PVC pipe and placed it outside our campus center. The public safety ran the event from early Wednesday morning until mid-evening time. The public safety were all there in uniform or with a jail'nbail t-shirt and a lot of the EMTs were there in uniform as well. They had food going all day and it was non-stop fundraising. Anyone could stop by the table at any point during the day and fill out a warrant for someone's arrest. It was $5 to do so and you just had to give them the name of the person and where they would be at a specific time. The public safety would then go and find them, put them in fake handcuffs and take them back to the jail where they would face the judge. They would be asked one simple question and depending on the answer, their bail would be posted. The questions were silly , like "what's your favorite color?" If you mouthed off or gave any trouble, then your bail would increase. Your mugshot was taken and then you would be thrown in the jail. You were allowed to use your cellphone to call friends to come post bail and you could attempt to encourage people passing by to give money towards your bail....otherwise you were stuck there until you get raise enough money for bail. Bails started at $40 and went up to as much as $400. People were pulled out of bed by public safety and pulled out of class. Everyone, including public safety, was into it and enjoying it like crazy. The president of our school and tons of professors were put in and given high bails to get out. There were people who spent several hours in the jail and others who after getting out were thrown back in. Everyone was just hoping they weren't going to be thrown into the jail, but nonetheless thought it was funny if they were. Despite acting upset, everyone was in good spirits about it. Students would call their friends to help get them out. Their friends would come and they would have them thrown in jail too....it became a domino affect and there were SO many people in jail all day. It was cute....creative...and amazingly well done....
For the grand total....one day event....made $28,000 .....you might think i added an extra zero, but it was $28,000.....absolutely insane....heh....
Edit: I meant to mention this the first time I wrote this, but they were raising money for the special olympics, which makes me really happy that they made SO much money for such a great cause!

End of the Semester...Four finals, three days of class, two reading days, one research paper, and zero quizes/tests left. Ill be home in a week and a half and I can't wait. I have been waiting for the end of the semester for such a long time and I will be sooo happy for it to be over. Right now I'm supposed to be writing my research paper, but I am procrastinating. It's a third of the way done, but I really don't feel like finishing it.
This morning I went for a run and pulled another Garrett Mountain. I tore a deep gash right on top of the old scar on my right hip. This time when I superman-ed onto the sidewalk I landed hard on my left thumb, which is twice its size and purple. My elbows are both scraped up and both my knees are scraped and bruised. My thighs also have nice big red marks and bruises and I scraped up my lower rib-cage area as well.....essentially it was a full-body wipe-out... it's really a talent I have being able to cover my entire body with bruises, cuts, and scrapes.... heh...I'm such a retard. As I pulled my body from the pavement I got a little dizzy, but it was similar to what happens almost every time I stand up so I brushed off and went back to my room. After assessing the damage, I walked to the health center because the gash on my hip was real deep and I wasnt sure if my thumb was broken. The nurse started cleaning out my hip and as I was sitting there everything went black and I passed out. The nurse called public safety so she wouldnt be the only one in the health center if I needed to go to the hospital or something. After laying back I came back though. She said that I was really pale though and wanted to keep me there a while longer. I iced my thumb and she put a dressing on my hip. My thumb is now wrapped in an ace bandage and yeah...I'm such a retard....
anyways I guess I need to get back to this stupid research paper.

A nice day...Today was going so well....like one of the best days in a while. This morning I got up and went to the gym...an hour on the elliptical, abs, push-ups, and a little bit of lifting later I was back in my room to shower and go to German. German went alright. We didn't really do much, but I got my test back from Wednesday and got a 94, so not too bad nonetheless. I met Katelyn for lunch and we played a little bit of frisbee afterwards which was fun, slightly humiliating, but fun. We then walked into town and went to the greatest chocolate shop every and got some chocolate and enjoyed the fresh air on our walk. We hung out a while, had dinner, and watched Grey's and The Devil wears Prada. We snacked on some popcorn, girl scout cookies, and some Ben & Jerry's amazing ice cream. Nothing out of the ordinary, but just generally was enjoying the day. Katelyn left and I go to brush my teeth and everything just goes downhill.... I just don't get it....Is it fun for her???? Cuz I don't see the enjoyment in it? I have no desire to see Jen completely wasted every weekend....I have no desire to hear her music blasting through both of our doors or her drunk yelling in the hallway... I have no desire to see her whatsoever and definitely not while she is slutted-up and I'm wearing sweatpants getting ready for bed.... Honestly, I've gotten used to all that... I've gotten used to all the drunk guys in the hall just looking to get some....I've gotten used to all the noise and the drunk singing....I don't like it, but whatever...there are so many worse things that could be happening I don't even care... It just makes me mad that I have to walk out in the hall where about 5 guys are walking out of my bathroom (a women's ONLY bathroom), but fine w/e... so the guys were in the bathroom, I'll get over it.... but seriously...don't use the urinals...I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR NAKED BUTT IN MY FREAKIN' BATHROOM....maybe I'm overreacting.... you know I am, but I'm just so sick and tired of it always being so awkward....so uncomfortable....Having to lock my bedroom door because I don't want drunk guys walking in while I'm in here alone...
I apologize....I just needed to vent....

A while....It's been a while....forever really...since I have posted. I'm not really sure what this entry is to be about either, other than just reintroducing myself to my blog. The skin needs a makeover I think, but it might not happen until the summer. So until then this will do.
I have 4.5 weeks left until I am home for summer, but I will be home in 2 weeks in order to visit Messiah College (I am waiting to hear whether I have been accepted). This summer I might be getting a car!!!! I really hope I do, because it would give me a LOT more freedom and independence. Plus it is really difficult to arrange babysitting and work around my parents' car schedules and still expect to be working enough. Of course gas is crazy expensive right now and with a car would come gas expenses, but all in all I think it would be worth it. Besides if I end up at Messiah College next year I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing it was a 3.5hr drive home, rather than 7-8hrs for a round trip for my parents. I also will need a car eventually for clinicals (next year or the following?!).
Anyways, back to the real world.....lots of studying/work to do....

I think the school district is going overboard with the parent portal and the school IDs. I didnt mind the idea of the parent portal at, first but after looking at it I dont like it. It's invasive and removes all personal privacy. I have nothing to hide and when I come home I tell my parents how I did on tests and if I'm not doing well in a class they know about it...that is if they listen when I am talking. If I can't be trusted to keep my own grades and to know if I need help or if I am not working hard enough, then maybe I should not be going to COLLEGE next fall....isnt high school about learning responsibility and learning to organize yourself and keep track of commitments and responsibilities? If my parents are looking over my shoulder every second, then how is anyone supposed to learn that? They are always telling us that they are preparing us for the "real world" where we won't be babied...and yet they continually implement procedures to baby us. The ID cards...again rediculous... a way to hand out a few more detentions? How will it really stop strangers from walking the halls? Maybe if the cards were swipe cards...but the cheap IDs theyre getting are not going to do crap...
at least im leaving in 17 weeks...no more of their ridiculous rules and regulations.
